Proof of address documentation

Why Proof of Address is Required

In addition to identity verification, Cribvest requires proof of address to further comply with AML and KYC regulations. This step confirms your physical address and enhances the accuracy of our verification process, ensuring that all communications and legal documents reach the correct individual.

Accepted Proof of Address Documents

We accept various documents to verify your address, which should be no older than three months. Accepted documents include:

  • Utility Bills: Water, gas, or electricity bills that clearly show your name and address. Bank Statements: A recent bank statement that includes your address.
  • Government-Issued Letters: Any letter from a government body, such as a tax bill or government-issued licenses that include your residential address.

How to Upload Your Proof of Address

You can upload your documents during the onboarding stage when you are creating a Cribvest account. If you skipped this step, you can do the following:

  1. Log into your dashboard: Access your Cribvest account and navigate to the 'Profile' or 'Account Settings' section.
  2. Upload Your Document: Choose the appropriate document type and upload a clear scan or photograph of the document. Make sure that your name, address, and the date are clearly visible.
  3. Verification Process: After you upload your document, it will be reviewed for verification. You will be notified once the process is complete, usually within a few hours.
